Lot Tasks & Schedule

Manage tasks, schedule items, inspections, and procurement on a lot using the tabbed interface.

Below the lot summary, a tabbed interface lets you view and manage all work items on the lot. Tasks are organized by type and grouped by location, making it easy to focus on what needs attention.

Understanding the Tabs

Four tabs filter the work items displayed:

Task Status Summary

Above the task list, four statistic counters give you an at-a-glance view of task health:

  • Total — how many tasks match the current tab

  • Overdue — tasks past their due date

  • Due Today — tasks due today

  • Upcoming — tasks due in the future

⚠️ Action needed: If you see overdue tasks, prioritize them to keep the lot on schedule.

Tasks Grouped by Location

Tasks are organized into sections by location (e.g., Kitchen, Master Bath, Exterior). Each location section shows its own AG Grid table with all the tasks at that location, sorted by the date work can begin.

To add a new location section:

  1. Click the New Location button.

  2. Select from a list of predefined locations or type a custom name.

  3. The new section appears and you can start adding tasks to it.

How to Create a Task

  1. Click the floating + button in the bottom-right corner of the page.

  2. Fill in the task details:

    • Location — select or type where the work is (e.g., Kitchen, Garage).

    • Type — choose Task, Schedule, Procurement, or Inspection.

    • Trade — the trade category (e.g., Plumbing, Electrical).

    • Trade Partner — the company assigned to do the work (requires a trade selection first).

    • Description — select from templates or type a custom description.

    • Photo — optionally attach a photo.

  3. Set the schedule fields:

    • Work Can Begin — the earliest date work can start (not shown for procurement).

    • Days to Complete — how many days the work should take (1–90, not shown for procurement).

    • Date Due — the deadline for the task (required).

  4. For Schedule type tasks, you can additionally set:

    • Critical Path — toggle on if this task is on the critical path.

    • Stage — select which construction stage this task belongs to (only when critical path is on).

  5. For Task type items, you can optionally create a Work Order at the same time.

  6. Click Save. Use Save and Create Another to quickly add multiple tasks in a row.

ℹ️ Tip: When selecting a description, you can choose from existing templates to save time. Switch to the text box if you need a custom description.

How to Edit a Task

Click any task in the list to open its details. From here you can update any field, including dates, description, trade partner, and more.

When editing a schedule task and changing its due date, you may see two additional options:

  • Overlap with next task — number of days the current task overlaps with the next one.

  • Push out schedule — number of days to push subsequent schedule items forward.

These fields help you adjust the downstream schedule when one task's timeline changes.

Archiving a Task

To remove a task from the active list, open the task and click Archive. Archived tasks no longer appear in the task list or count toward the status summary.

Printing Lot Tasks

Click the print button (printer icon) in the tab bar to generate a printable report of the lot's tasks and inspections. The report opens in a new browser tab, ready to print or save as PDF.
