Overview

After clicking a community in the list, you land on its detail page. This page shows key statistics, the lots table, and gives you tools to manage the community and its lots.

Community Statistics

At the top of the page, four statistic cards summarize the community's current state:

Statistic

Description

Active Lots

Total number of non-archived lots in this community

Late Walks

Number of lots that have not been walked today

Open Tasks

Total number of incomplete tasks across all lots

Late Tasks

Number of overdue tasks across all lots

Average Build Time

Average build days and delta (difference) from planned average

Use these cards for a quick health check before diving into individual lots.

Community Location

If the community has been pinned on the map, a Location section shows that pin on a small read-only map. The section is hidden entirely when the community has no coordinates — add them with Edit. See Community and Lot Locations.

The Lots Table

Below the statistics, the lots table lists every active lot in the community. On desktop, you'll see these columns:

Column

Description

Name

The lot name, along with status tags (see below)

Project Manager

The assigned project manager, or "Not assigned"

Target Close

The lot's target close date

Build Days

How many days the build has taken so far, plus a colored number showing how that compares to the schedule template's target (see below)

On mobile, the table shows a single column with the lot name and status tags for a cleaner layout.

List and Map Views

Above the table, a List / Map toggle switches how the lots are displayed. List is the default and shows the table described above. Map plots every active lot that has been pinned, so you can see the community as it actually sits on the ground.

  • Hover a pin (or tap it on a phone or tablet) to open a card with the lot name, address, status tags, last walk date, project manager, and current stage.

  • Click the card to open that lot's detail page.

  • When several lots are pinned, the map zooms to fit them all.

Lots without a location aren't on the map. A notice reports how many are missing — for example, "3 lots have no location yet, so they are not on the map." They're still in the List view. If no lot has been pinned, the map falls back to the community's own pin, or shows a No lot locations yet empty state.

ℹ️ Note: The Show archived switch is hidden in Map view, and archived lots never appear on the map. See Community and Lot Locations for how to pin your lots.

Build Days

The Build Days column shows two things for each lot: the number of days its build has taken so far, and a small colored number next to it showing how that compares to the assigned schedule template's target — green and a minus sign means ahead of schedule, red and a plus sign means behind, gray zero means right on target. A lot with no schedule tasks yet, or currently on an active hold, shows "N/A" instead of a number. See Build Days for the full explanation, including why a delta can look unrealistically large.

Lot Status Tags

Tags appear next to a lot's name to highlight important states:

  • Walk (orange) — The lot has not been walked today and needs attention.

  • On Hold — The lot has an active schedule hold.

  • Archived — The lot has been archived (only visible when "Show archived" is on).

Searching Lots

Use the search box above the table to filter lots by name or project manager. The search filters as you type.

How to Add a Lot

You can add lots one at a time, or create many at once with a naming pattern.

One at a Time

  1. Click the Create button in the Lots section.

  2. Fill in the lot details:

    • Lot Name (required)

    • Permit # and Date Issued for Permit

    • Plan #

    • Link to Files — URL to external documents for this lot

    • Street Address

    • Location — the lot's pin on the map. Click the map, drag the pin, type coordinates, or paste a "lat, lng" pair. Leave it empty if unknown.

    • Target Quarter — the anticipated completion quarter (e.g., Y25 Q1)

    • Project Manager

    • Buyer

    • Start Date and Target Date

  3. Click Save.

ℹ️ Tip: You only need the lot name to get started. You can fill in the remaining details later by editing the lot.

In Bulk

If you need to add many lots at once — for example, every lot in a new phase — use Bulk-add Lots instead of creating them one at a time.

  1. Open ToolsBulk-add Lots.

  2. Enter a pattern for the lot names, using # to mark where the number goes (e.g., LOT-#). Repeat the # to zero-pad the number — for example, LOT-### creates LOT-001, LOT-002, and so on.

  3. Enter the Start and End numbers for the range (e.g., 1 to 25 creates 25 lots).

  4. Review the live preview. It lists the first several lot names that will be created and warns you if any of them already exist in this community.

  5. Click Continue.

  6. Type yes to confirm. This screen shows exactly how many lots are about to be created and reminds you that they'll be billed at your standard per-lot rate.

  7. Click Create.

ℹ️ Note: You can create up to 500 lots in a single batch, and each generated name can be up to 50 characters. Bulk-add Lots requires the Lot create permission and is hidden for archived communities. Bulk-created lots have no location — pin them individually afterward if you want them on the map.

Show Archived Lots

By default, archived lots are hidden from the table. To see them, toggle Show archived to Yes above the table. Archived lots will appear with an "Archived" tag next to their name.

Community Tools

The community detail page provides several actions in the header area:

Action

What it does

Edit

Opens the community editor to update name, brand, address, location, file folder link, and trade partner assignments

Print Tasks

Opens a printable task report covering all lots in the community

Bulk-add Lots

Creates many lots at once from a naming pattern and a number range (see How to Add a Lot)

ℹ️ Note: The Edit button is only visible to users with the Community update permission.

Missing Schedule Activity Notes

If any lots in the community have schedule activities that are missing notes, an inbox icon will appear next to the Create button. Click it to review and add the missing notes.
