Reassign Tasks Between Trade Partners
Bulk reassign incomplete tasks from one trade partner to another within a community using the Reassign Tasks drawer.
Overview
The Reassign Tasks tool lets you bulk-move incomplete tasks from one trade partner to another within a community. This is useful when a trade partner is replaced, unavailable, or when work needs to be redistributed mid-project.
How to Open the Reassign Tasks Drawer
Navigate to a Community detail page.
Click the ⋮ button in the page header, on the right.
Select Reassign Tasks from the Tools menu.
ℹ️ Note: The ⋮ button looks the same on every device — it's never a labeled button. On a computer it opens a dropdown menu headed Tools; on a phone the same options slide up from the bottom of the screen as a panel.
How to Reassign Tasks
In the drawer, select the From trade partner — the trade partner whose tasks you want to move.
Select the To trade partner — the trade partner who will receive the tasks.
Optionally narrow down which tasks appear in the list using the filters:
Lots — Show tasks only on specific lots
Trades — Show tasks for specific trade types
Start On Or After — Show only tasks that start on or after a chosen date
Review the filtered task list. Check the box next to each task you want to reassign, or use the header checkbox to select all eligible tasks at once.
Click Reassign to apply the changes.
ℹ️ Auto-selection: If a community has only one active trade partner for the "From" or "To" field, that trade partner is automatically selected for you.
Tasks With Work Orders
Some tasks in the list may appear greyed out and cannot be selected. These tasks have an attached work order, which must be reassigned manually by editing the task directly. Hover over the task row to see the explanation.
