Trade Partners

View, search, and manage the trade partners working with your company, including their contacts, their assigned task counts, and the Inactive tag.

Overview

The Trade Partners page lists everyone your company works with — subcontractors, vendors, and other partners — in one searchable table.

Navigate to Trade Partners in the left-hand navigation to see the full list for your organization. Each row shows:

  • Name — The trade partner’s name.

  • Trade — The trade(s) assigned to that partner (e.g., Plumbing, Electrical).

  • Tasks — The number of open tasks currently assigned to that partner. Completed and archived tasks aren’t counted.

Use the search bar to quickly filter the list by name or trade. Click a row to open that partner’s details page, where you keep their contacts up to date.

The “Inactive” Tag

A grey Inactive tag appears next to a trade partner’s name when they have 0 open tasks currently assigned to them.

ℹ️ Note: “Inactive” is not the same as archived. An archived trade partner is hidden from this list entirely, while a trade partner marked Inactive is still active in your organization — they simply don’t have any open work assigned right now. Completing a trade partner’s tasks removes them from the Tasks total the same way archiving does, so a trade partner whose tasks have all been completed (with no new work assigned) will show as Inactive.

Use the Inactive tag to quickly spot trade partners who may need new work assigned, or who haven’t been used recently.

How to Create a Trade Partner

  1. Navigate to the Trade Partners page.

  2. Click Create in the top-right corner.

  3. Enter the trade partner’s Name and optionally select their Trades.

  4. Click Save.

Viewing, Editing, and Archiving

Click any row to open that trade partner’s details page. From there you can edit their information, or use the options menu to archive them if they no longer work with your company. Archiving removes a trade partner from this list but preserves their history.

How to Add a Contact to a Trade Partner

Contacts are the people you deal with at a trade partner. They’re listed in the Contacts section of the trade partner’s details page.

  1. Navigate to the Trade Partners page and click the trade partner’s row.

  2. In the Contacts section, click Add Contact.

  3. Enter the contact’s Name, and their Role, Email, and Phone if you have them.

  4. Under Trades, pick the trades this person handles. This list offers only the trades assigned to this trade partner.

  5. Turn on Primary contact if this is the main person to reach.

  6. Click Save.

To change a contact later, click their row in the Contacts section, then click Edit.
