General Settings and Time Zone
Where to set your builder's time zone, and why it matters for daily reports, schedule tracking, and alerts.
Settings β General is where you set your builder's time zone β the single clock TPTM uses for every date-sensitive feature across your account.
βΉοΈ Where to find it: Open Settings β General. It's the first item under Settings.
Why your time zone matters
TPTM uses your builder's time zone to decide what "today" means for your account β which affects:
Daily reports β the calendar day a report covers, and when it's sent.
Schedule activity β whether a change to a lot's projected close date counts as happening "today" or "yesterday."
Projected close alerts and other daily alerts β when they're evaluated and sent.
If your builder operates outside the Pacific time zone and this were left unset, these features would work off the wrong clock β a change made late in your afternoon could be recorded as happening the next day, or a report could arrive at an odd local hour.
Setting your time zone
Go to Settings β General.
Choose your time zone from the Time Zone dropdown.
Click Save.
Time zone is a required field β every builder has one set, so date-sensitive features always have an accurate clock to work from.
β οΈ Permission needed: Changing this setting requires the Builder β update permission, typically held by Builder Admins. If you don't see the General page in your Settings menu, you don't have access to edit builder-wide settings.
Good to know
One clock for the whole builder. This is a single, account-wide setting β it isn't per-user or per-community.
Applies everywhere "your builder's local time" is mentioned β including the End of the Day Text's send hour.
