Adjusting schedule

There are multiple ways to adjust the schedule in TPTM. This page will cover the following topics:

Move schedule from task​

When the due date for a schedule task moves back, the schedule should adjust accordingly. While editing the duration of a task, TPTM provides tools to decide how the change in duration should affect the schedule.

Options for moving schedule​

There are three ways to move (or not move) the schedule when updating the duration of a task.

  1. Overlap with schedule: This option will extend the edited task to overlap with subsequent tasks in the schedule without moving other schedules.

  2. Move schedule: This option will move the subsequent tasks in the schedule to accommodate the edited task.

  3. Combined: This option will extend the edited task to overlap with subsequent tasks in the schedule and move the subsequent tasks in the schedule to accommodate the edited task as specified.
