Connect Perplexity to TPTM
Step-by-step setup for adding TPTM as a custom connector in Perplexity Pro, Max, or Enterprise.
Overview
You can add TPTM as a custom connector in Perplexity so it can look up your lots, schedules, trade partners and work orders, pull reports, and set up or change that data when you allow it. Custom connectors are available on Perplexity Pro, Max and Enterprise. Any TPTM member can set this up; the assistant never gets more access than your own TPTM role allows.
Getting the TPTM server URL
In TPTM, open Settings from the sidebar navigation.
Click AI Connectors.
Under Connect an AI assistant, click Copy next to the server URL. It ends in
/mcp.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I enter for Client ID?
What do I enter for Client ID?
Any short name you like — perplexity works well. TPTM does not issue client IDs for Perplexity; the name simply labels the connection. There is no client secret to enter.
I don't see Connectors or Custom connector in Perplexity. Why?
I don't see Connectors or Custom connector in Perplexity. Why?
Custom connectors are a feature of Perplexity Pro, Max and Enterprise. If your plan does not include them, the option is not shown. Check your Perplexity plan. On Enterprise, an administrator must also turn on Allow members to add custom connectors in the organization settings before members can add one.
Perplexity says a TPTM tool isn't available. Why?
Perplexity says a TPTM tool isn't available. Why?
Perplexity only sees the tools for the access categories you granted, and only the ones your TPTM role allows. In TPTM, go to Settings → AI Connectors, click Edit access on the Perplexity connector and raise the level for the category you need. If the level is not offered, your role does not include that permission — ask your administrator. Also check that the TPTM connector is turned on for the thread.
Perplexity is asking me to connect TPTM again. Why?
Perplexity is asking me to connect TPTM again. Why?
The connector was revoked on the AI Connectors page (by you or by a member who can manage members), you were removed from the organization, or the connector went unused for 30 days. Open the TPTM connector in Perplexity's Connectors settings, click Add Connector and approve it again. Connecting again updates your existing connector rather than creating a second one.
How do I change what Perplexity can see or do?
How do I change what Perplexity can see or do?
In TPTM, go to Settings → AI Connectors, find the Perplexity connector under Your connectors and click Edit access. Change the levels and click Save; the change applies from Perplexity's next request. To cut off access entirely, click Revoke.
Can I use Perplexity with more than one TPTM organization?
Can I use Perplexity with more than one TPTM organization?
Each connector works in one organization — the one you chose under Organization when you approved it. If you belong to several organizations and want Perplexity to work in another one, connect TPTM again and pick that organization on the Connect Perplexity to TPTM page.
