Lot Highlighting in the Schedule Table

Introduction

Lot highlighting is a powerful feature in the Schedule Table that allows you to visually distinguish specific lots in your schedule. This feature helps you quickly identify important information, track specific lots, or focus on particular data points without having to manually search through your schedule.

ℹ️ Note

The lot highlight will be overridden for individual cells if another highlight such as a task or trade partner highlight also applies.

Highlighting Lots

There are two main ways to manage lot highlights in the Schedule Table:

Method 1: Right-Click Menu

  1. Navigate to the Schedule Table

  2. Right-click on any cell in the lot you want to highlight

  3. Select "Highlight lot" from the context menu

  4. The entire lot will be highlighted with a light blue color

To remove the highlight:

  1. Right-click on any cell in the highlighted lot

  2. Select "Remove lot highlight" from the context menu

Method 2: Settings Panel

  1. Click on the "Settings" icon in the sidebar of the Schedule Table

  2. In the "Lot Highlighting" section, you'll see a count of currently highlighted lotss

  3. Click the "Clear Lot Highlights" button to remove all lot highlights at once

Managing Highlighted Lots

The system keeps track of all your highlighted rows, and you can:

  • See how many lots are currently highlighted in the Settings panel

  • Clear all highlights at once using the "Clear Lot Highlights" button

  • Toggle highlights on and off for individual lots using the right-click menu

Visual Appearance

When a lot is highlighted:

  • Even-numbered lots are highlighted with a darker blue color

  • Odd-numbered lots are highlighted with a lighter blue color

  • The highlighting applies to the entire low across all columns

Best Practices

  • Use for tracking: Highlight lots for lots you're actively working on or need to monitor

  • Combine with filters: Use lot highlighting in conjunction with filters to focus on specific subsets of data

  • Temporary marking: Use lot highlighting as a temporary way to mark lots of interest during your current session

  • Clear when done: Remember to clear your highlights when you're finished to avoid confusion in future sessions

Technical Notes

  • Lot highlights are stored in your browser's local storage, so they will persist between sessions. They are not synchronized across devices.

  • You can highlight multiple lots at once

  • Lot highlighting works alongside other highlighting features like day highlighting and trade partner highlighting. Other highlights will take priority.

Troubleshooting

If your lot highlights aren't appearing as expected:

  1. Make sure you've selected "Highlight lot" from the right-click menu

  2. Try refreshing the page if highlights aren't showing up

  3. Check if you've accidentally cleared all highlights using the "Clear Lot Highlights" button
